Credit Card Points Hacking with PayPal Key

I maintain several credit cards which yield good points rewards if used well. For many years now, I've really wanted to be able to pay my rent with my credit card. Unfortunately, most providers will pass along the 3% network charge fee directly to you.

There are a few companies that offer virtual debit cards, such as https://privacy.com/ or others. All of them link you actual bank account though.

Surprisingly, PayPal has a product called PayPal Key which allows you to link a credit card and get a virtual Mastercard debit card, with no fees.

I am able to use this card to pay rent.

Update: April 2020 - I wanted to use this to pay my taxes but it appears that PayPal has caught on and blocked these companies.
